Exam and government forms often reject a photo or signature that is too big or too small. This tool finds the JPEG quality that lands inside the KB range you need. It works on your device, so your picture never leaves it.

Step 1: Pick Photo or Signature

Choose Photo or Signature. Then open the list and pick your exam, like SSC signature or GDS photo. Each preset shows its size, KB range and where the numbers came from.

Step 2: Add your image

Drop your photo or scan on the box. Or tap it to choose a file. Phone photos and big scans are fine.

Step 3: Clean your signature (optional)

If you signed on paper, keep Clean signature on. It makes the paper white and the ink darker. For a photo, use the crop slider to move the frame up or down.

Step 4: Check the result

The result box shows the final KB and pixel size. Green ticks mean it fits the preset. If it says the file is outside the range, read the note and try a different preset or a bigger original.

Step 5: Download and upload

Press Download JPG. Then upload that file on the exam website. Check the size once more on the upload screen.

Tips and questions

Are the sizes official?

Each preset links to the page or notice it came from and says whether it was read from the issuing body or only from a third-party page. Rules change every cycle, so always check your own notification.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. The tool runs in your browser. Your photo or signature is never sent anywhere.

What if my form asks for a different size?

Choose Custom and type the minimum and maximum KB and the width and height from your form.

Why does my file get smaller in pixels?

The tool first lowers JPEG quality. If the file is still too big at a quality that still looks fine, it also reduces the pixel size until it fits.
