What is this tool?
This online photo editor lets you crop, adjust, rotate, caption and export a picture in a full-screen editor. It is for quick everyday edits such as squaring a profile photo, brightening a dark shot or shrinking an image for email. Load or paste a JPG, PNG or WebP file and use the Crop, Filters, Adjust, Transform, Text and Output tools. Crop offers Free, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2, 4:5, passport and Facebook cover frames with a rule-of-thirds grid. Filters gives ten one-tap looks with previews. Adjust has sliders for Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Vibrance, Temperature, Tint, Hue, Blur, Grayscale, Sepia, Invert, Vignette, Sharpen and Grain, and they work in Safari and on iPhone too. Transform can straighten by up to 45 degrees, rotate and flip. Output downloads JPEG, PNG or WebP from the full-resolution photo, or copies a PNG. All editing happens in your browser, and your photo is never uploaded.
How to Use
- Drop a photo on Drop a photo here or click to choose. The full-screen editor opens automatically.
- Choose Crop and press Crop image…, pick an aspect ratio such as 1:1 or 16:9, drag the frame, then press Apply crop.
- Choose Filters for a one-tap look, Adjust to move sliders like Brightness, Temperature or Sepia, or Transform to straighten, rotate or flip.
- To add a caption, choose Text, type in Caption, set Size and Colour, press Place, tap the preview to position it, then press Apply.
- Choose Output to set Format, Quality and Scale, then press Download or Copy PNG.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my downloaded photo smaller than the original?
No. The preview uses a lighter copy, but Download renders from your full-resolution photo, so a 12 MP picture exports at 12 MP at 100% Scale. Very large photos are capped at about 16 megapixels, the limit some browsers (including Safari on iPhone) allow for one image.
How do I reduce the file size of a photo?
In Output, pick JPEG or WebP and lower Quality, or reduce Scale. The estimated file size under the sliders updates as you change settings.
Why did my transparent PNG get a white background?
JPEG does not support transparency, so the editor fills the background with white when you export as JPEG. Choose PNG or WebP in Output to keep transparent areas.
