About Wivrix

Wivrix is an independent, bootstrapped open-source project from India, built by the Wivrix team. We make free, private tools that run in your browser — editors, converters, file transfer, and developer utilities. The site exists so everyday tasks — editing a PDF, removing a photo background, formatting JSON, sending a file to another device — can be done quickly without signing up, without watermarks, and without shipping your files to an unknown server by default.

Who builds Wivrix

Wivrix is built and maintained by the Wivrix team in India. We started in 2026. Wivrix is an independent open-source project, not a registered company, and it is not a bank, clinic, or tax office. We use AI assistants such as Claude to help improve the tools and make them easier to use; every change is reviewed and tested before it ships.

Why it exists

Most similar sites gate basic utilities behind accounts, file-size upsells, or uploads you cannot audit. Wivrix takes the opposite approach: open a page, do the job, leave. Speed and privacy matter more than collecting profiles.

Private by default

For most tools, processing happens in JavaScript on your device. Your PDF pages, photos, and spreadsheet numbers are not sent to Wivrix for conversion. That is what we mean by private by default — the default path keeps data local. A handful of tools must reach the network (WHOIS, downloaders, AI image tools, peer signaling). Those pages say so plainly, and the privacy policy lists them.

Privacy model in practice

Wivrix does not require an account to use the tools. Theme, favourites, and recent-tool shortcuts are stored in your browser only — not on a Wivrix profile server. Google Analytics loads only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner, and you can change that at any time from Cookie settings; see the privacy policy and cookie policy. Ads, if ever shown, will appear outside tool canvases so they never block a convert or download button. If a tool can work offline after the first load, it is built that way on purpose so spotty connections do not block the job.

How the site stays online

Wivrix currently shows no ads. Advertising may be used in the future to support hosting and development; if it is, ads will stay out of tool canvases, never replace download or convert buttons, and the privacy policy will name the partner first.
