What is this tool?
This resizer shrinks a photo or a signature scan to a KB range that exam and government forms ask for, such as 10-20 KB for the SSC signature or up to 20 KB for the NSDL PAN photo. Pick a preset (SSC, India Post GDS, UPSC, NSDL PAN or passport) or type your own minimum and maximum KB. The tool then searches for the highest JPEG quality that fits the range and only reduces the pixel size when it has to. For a signature you can turn on Clean signature to get a white background and darker ink. The result shows the final KB and pixel size, and every preset links to the source it came from. Your picture is processed in your browser and is never uploaded.
How to Use
- Choose Photo or Signature, then pick your exam or form from the preset list (or Custom to set your own KB range).
- Drop your image on the box, or tap it to choose a file from your phone or computer.
- For a signature written on paper, keep Clean signature on to whiten the paper and darken the ink. For a photo, drag the crop slider so your face sits where you want it.
- Check the result box: final KB, pixel size and the green ticks against the preset.
- Press Download JPG and upload that file on the exam portal.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I resize a photo or signature to 20 KB online?
Choose a preset that ends at 20 KB (for example SSC signature or NSDL PAN photo), or pick Custom and enter 10 and 20 as the minimum and maximum. Drop your image and the tool tries JPEG qualities until the file lands inside the range, shrinking the pixels only if the quality alone is not enough. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
What are the SSC, GDS and PAN photo and signature sizes?
SSC CGL/CHSL 2026 asks for a JPEG signature of 10-20 KB, about 6 x 2 cm, and captures the photo live in the form. India Post GDS lists a photo of 30-100 KB at 320 x 400 px and a signature of 20-100 KB at 300 x 120 px, while its portal help page says photo up to 50 KB and signature up to 20 KB. NSDL/Protean PAN asks for a photo up to 20 KB (197 x 276 px) and a signature up to 10 KB (354 x 157 px). Rules change every cycle, so confirm them in your own notification.
Is my photo or signature uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is decoded, cleaned and compressed inside your browser tab. It is never sent to Wivrix or any other server, and it disappears when you close the page.
