Our Core Privacy Promise
Wivrix is built privacy-first. Our tools run entirely in your browser. Your files, data, and personal information never leave your device. We don't have access to what you create, edit, or process with our tools.
What We Collect
We collect minimal data:
- No personal data when using our tools. Files are processed locally in your browser.
- Anonymous analytics (page views, browser type) to understand which tools are most useful and improve our site.
- Email address if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Cookies for storing your theme preference (dark/light mode). No tracking cookies.
What We Don't Collect
- We do NOT collect any files you upload to our tools
- We do NOT track your IP address for profiling
- We do NOT sell your data to third parties
- We do NOT use your data for advertising targeting
- We do NOT require accounts or sign-ups to use tools
How Our Tools Work
Every tool on Wivrix processes data entirely in your browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly, or HTML5 Canvas. This means:
- Your PDFs, photos, and documents are never uploaded to any server
- The background remover uses an on-device AI model (WebAssembly)
- JSON, text, and code processing happens locally
- Passwords and hashes are generated in your browser
The only exception is the Video Downloader tool, which sends URLs to our self-hosted backend server for processing. We do not store downloaded content.
Third-Party Services
We use the following minimal third-party services:
- Google Fonts — loaded for typography. Google may log the request.
- CDN resources — some tools load libraries (pdf.js, etc.) from CDNs for functionality.
Cookies
We use only essential, first-party cookies:
- wivrix-theme — stores your dark/light mode preference
- wivrix-cookies — records that you've accepted this cookie notice
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time
- Clear your local storage/cookies at any time via your browser settings
