Tips and common questions

What is compound interest?

It is interest earned on your interest. Each year your growth is added to your balance, so the next year's growth is bigger. Over long periods this snowball effect is powerful.

What is a step-up SIP?

It means raising your monthly amount every year, for example by 10% as your salary grows. Set it under More options → Annual step-up SIP (%).

Why adjust for inflation?

Prices rise over time, so a large number in 20 years buys less than it does today. The inflation setting shows what your result is worth in today's money.

Is this financial advice?

No. It is a calculator for estimates. Real returns go up and down, and taxes and fees are not included.
