What is this tool?
This photo cleaner removes date stamps, text, emojis and unwanted objects from your own photos. Use it only on images you own or have the rights to edit. Load a file, then mark the spot with the Brush or Box tool. Use Erase to fix the mask and Move to zoom and pan. Press Remove marked area and the marked area is filled in from the surrounding pixels using OpenCV.js inpainting. It also handles short video clips: pick a Frame to paint on, set FPS and Width, and turn on Track movement for a mark that moves. Images download as PNG, JPEG, or WebP, and videos as WebM or MP4. Your file is processed in the browser and is not uploaded.
How to Use
- Drop an image onto the upload area, or tap it to browse.
- Select Brush or Box and paint over the date stamp, text or object. Use Erase to trim the mask and Move to zoom or pan.
- For a short video, choose a Frame to paint on, set FPS and Width, and turn on Track movement if the mark moves.
- Tap Remove marked area and drag the Before/After slider to check the result.
- Pick a Format and click Download, or tap Again to clean up any leftover marks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my photo or video uploaded to a server?
No. Your file is processed in your browser. The page downloads the OpenCV.js library from a public CDN such as jsDelivr to do the inpainting, but your image or video is never sent anywhere.
Why does the removed area look blurry or smeared?
The tool rebuilds the marked area from the pixels around it. That works well on skies, walls, and simple textures, but less well over faces, detailed patterns, or large areas. Paint a tight mask, then use Again to run another pass on any spots that are left.
Why is my cleaned video smaller than the original?
The Width option is set to 854 pixels by default to keep processing fast. Set Width to Original before you clean the photo to keep the full resolution. Large images are also scaled to at most 2400 pixels on the longest side.
