Privacy Policy

Wivrix (wivrix.com) is an independently operated personal website. The data controller is the operator of Wivrix. Contact: support@wivrix.com.

This policy describes what the project collects when you use the free in-browser tools, guides, and supporting pages.

What Wivrix is

Wivrix offers free calculators, converters, and image or PDF utilities that usually run in your browser without an account. Most processing happens on your device; files you edit locally are not uploaded to our servers unless a specific tool says otherwise.

On-device processing

Examples that stay on your device include the unit converter, loan and BMI calculators, PDF editor, image resizer, hash generator, JSON formatter, and invoice builder. After the page loads, many of these tools continue to work offline.

Tools that send data off your device

Some tools need network access. When you use them, the data described below leaves your browser:

• Web Proxy — pages you browse pass through a Cloudflare Worker; nothing is stored on Wivrix disks.
• WHOIS Lookup — the domain you enter is queried via our server.
• Currency Converter — fetches exchange rates from a public rates API; your typed amount is converted in the browser.
• DNS Lookup — queries Cloudflare's public resolver directly from your browser; the domain is not sent through a Wivrix server.
• Video downloader — URLs may be processed on our server to resolve media formats.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use local storage for theme, favourites, and recent tools. Analytics and advertising cookies may be used when those features are enabled. Where the law requires a choice, a Google-certified consent management platform may ask before non-essential cookies are set. Advertising requires cookies — we do not claim to be cookie-free while ads are enabled.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies, and may collect IP address and device identifiers, to serve and measure ads (including personalized ads where allowed). Third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your browser or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on this site.

Analytics

We may add privacy-respecting analytics later. If we do, this page will be updated first. Today, no analytics script runs by default.

Legal bases (GDPR / DPDP overview)

We process what is needed to run the site, respond to email, prevent abuse, and (with consent) show ads and analytics. Ads are served by Google under their policies. To exercise access or deletion rights, email support@wivrix.com.

Children

Wivrix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Retention and security

Server logs for network tools are kept briefly for troubleshooting. Push notification subscriptions are deleted when expired. Google processes ad and analytics data under its retention rules. International transfers may occur when Google or Cloudflare serves content from global edge locations.

Updates

We will post changes here with a new effective date. Material changes to advertising or analytics will be reflected on this page.
